Nasarawa Accountant General Calls for Collaboration to Achieve Governor Sule’s Mandate

Rt. Hon. Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed, the Accountant General of Nasarawa State, has initiated strategic engagements with the State Executive Council (SEC) to align with Governor Abdullahi Sule’s developmental vision.

Dr. Mohammed Known as Baraden Nasarawa, emphasizes transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility in his leadership.

His efforts complement the administration’s policies aimed at sustainable development and effective resource management, fostering trust among stakeholders and promoting economic growth in the state.

Rt. Hon Musa Mohammed As part of this initiative, conducted a series of meetings with 16 commissioners representing various ministries, stressing the importance of financial prudence, accountability, and teamwork in driving the administration’s objectives forward. These meetings sought to reinforce inter-institutional cooperation, maintain fiscal discipline, and optimize service delivery across the state.

Rt. Hon Mohammed, a two-term member and speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, represented the people of Nasarawa Central Constituency. The Accountant General emphasized the need for enhanced collaboration between the Ministry of Finance and other ministries to optimize resource allocation, enhance project execution, and sustain the government’s economic blueprint during his engagements. He assured the commissioners of his office’s commitment to facilitating efficient financial operations, expediting payments for critical projects, and ensuring effective utilization of budgetary provisions to impact the lives of the people of Nasarawa State.

The commissioners, who spoke separately commended Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed for his visionary leadership, describing his visits as a demonstration of his commitment to transparency and efficiency in public finance management.

They reiterated their readiness to work collaboratively with the Accountant General to ensure the successful implementation of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s administration policies and programs.

This initiative reinforces the Accountant General’s key role in fostering fiscal accountability, inter-ministerial collaboration, and a robust financial framework, thereby ensuring Nasarawa State’s sustainable development.

The former Speaker remains committed to upholding Governor Abdullahi Sule’s mandate, instilling confidence in government officials and stakeholders, and paving the way for enhanced governance and effective service delivery in Nasarawa State.
