Oborevwori unstoppable in 2027 – Oghenesivbe
…Says we ‘ll teach defectors PDP controls Delta at the polls
Director General of Delta State Orientation and Communications Bureau, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has again assured that recent defections by some former members of the Peoples.Democratic Party, PDP, is nothing to worry about.
Oghenesivbe gave the assurance in an exclusive interview granted a national daily, The Nigerian Tribune Newspaper, in Asaba, saying that the unprecedented socioeconomic and mega infrastructure development across the three Senatorial Districts would resonate at the polls, come 2027.
He noted that the defection of Hon Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu and Senator Ned Nwoko did not come to Deltans as a surprise, because of their anti party activities immediately after the 2023 general elections which resulted in their political carpet crossing, saying that the popularity ratings of the two defectors had dropped to the lowest level.
The Bureau Chief disclosed that Ned and Ibori displayed acute betrayal and high degree of ungratefulness towards the party for the enviable roles the party members and supporters played to ensure their landslide victory at the polls in 2023, pointing out that that the radical moves by the two federal lawmakers would invariably attract varying degree of electoral consequence in 2027.

Dr Oghenesivbe who is also the Publicity Secretary of Ethiope Federal Constituency PDP Forum, further assured that PDP shall reclaim all the seats it lost at the National Assembly due to the good governance strides of governor Sheriff Oborevwori, which has consistently earned him national Awards such as “Governor of the Year in Nigeria 2024 and Best Governor on Mega Infrastructure Development in Nigeria 2024,” among others.
He said the good people of Delta State are impressed by the unprecedented levels of development across the three senatorial districts, including the dualization of Ughelli-Asaba highway contracted to a Chinese construction firm, and the three flyovers at DSC Roundabout, PTI and Enerhen junction up to Marine gate, signaling a new era of high standard and durable public infrastructure development in the State.
Dr Fred Oghenesivbe also predicted that neither Senator Ned Nwoko nor Hon Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu would make it back to the National Assembly in 2027, for the fact that Deltans and eligible voters would reject them at the polls for their dishonesty, and for betraying PDP, the very party that gave them the platform and opportunity to become numbers of the Red and Green chambers.
