The Coalition of Youth Support Groups for Wadada 2027 has announced plans to establish a statewide Situational Room with representatives drawn from all 3,526 polling units in Nasarawa State.
The coalition’s Secretary-General, Dr Louis Azige, is heading a technical committee established to analyse the group’s political strength and coordinate its activities across the state.
The chairman of the coalition, Comrade Jaafar Muhammad Loko, disclosed this on Tuesday when the group visited Governor Abdullahi Sule at the Government House, Lafia.
Loko said the Situational Room would be established by November to monitor developments ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
He said the coalition was created to mobilise support for Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada and all APC candidates in the 2027 general election.
Over 4,000 Officials Mobilised
According to Loko, the coalition has more than 4,000 officials operating across the state.
He said its structure covers 13 local government areas, 147 electoral wards and polling units.
The group comprises about 22 youth, religious, ethnic, professional and interest organisations.
Loko said the coalition has 25 officials in each local government area, 15 in each electoral ward and five officials at every polling unit.
The coalition also disclosed a working budget of N56 million and N5 million in take-off support from Umar Danyaya Aliyu.
The ALGON Chairman, Hon. Safiyanu Isa Andaha, was also said to have pledged office accommodation in Lafia.
Sule Backs Wadada
Receiving the delegation, Governor Sule reaffirmed his support for Senator Wadada as his preferred successor.
He said Wadada’s emergence followed consultations with stakeholders, including youth leadership.
Sule also directed that qualified youths and women from the delegation’s areas be considered for appointments based on merit.
The governor further told the coalition to prepare for a forthcoming distribution of vehicles to support its mobilisation activities.

The coalition’s activities come amid increased political positioning across Nasarawa’s three senatorial zones ahead of the 2027 governorship contest.
With political groups already establishing grassroots structures, monitoring mechanisms and mobilisation networks, the race for Nasarawa Government House is expected to intensify as the election draws closer.
