Nasarawa State University Keffi has successfully hosted an entrepreneurial talent exhibition, showcasing the innovative skills and business ideas of its students.

The event aimed to promote sustainable entrepreneurship development through a “communiversity” framework, focusing on sustainability, social impact, innovation, tech integration, and collaborative partnerships.

The exhibition featured a wide range of skills, including: Digital skills such as content creation, web development, Creative skills, Innovative products showcasing students’ business ideas and entrepreneurial ventures.

Prof. Modibbo Sallau Abdullahi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Academics, represented the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman, during the inspection of the exhibition, commended the students for their efforts and commitment for perfecting their skills, urging them to strive for self-reliance, independence, and societal impact.

According to Prof. Rashida Funke Olarewaju, Director of Entrepreneurship Development Center (EDC) a Professor of Artificial Intelligence, AI the University is committed in fostering Entrepreneurship and self reliance among students.

She said the exhibition provided students with a platform to showcase their talents, entrepreneurial ventures, and innovative products.

“Students should have a degree and a complementary skill or side hustle, enabling them to make money through hard work and creativity”. She furthermore added.

Prof. Olarewaju highlighted the center’s “communiversity” initiative, which showcases student products to the outside world, adding value to the community.

She acknowledged the cooperation of staff and center members, emphasizing the need for collective effort to tackle funding challenges and generate income for the center and institution.

Speaking with some students on this remarkable achievement, they appreciate the VC, Nasarawa State University, Prof. Sa’adatu Hassan Liman and the Director of Entrepreneurship development Center Prof. Rashida Funke Olarewaju for giving them such a great opportunity to learn various skills which will in turn help them to be productive in the society.
