A delegation of prominent politicians visited Toto, Nasarawa State, to offer condolences to Dr. Musa Muhammed Maikaya and the Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Area following a tragic motor accident that claimed six lives of their family members. The delegation included Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Arc. Jaafar Mohammed Ibrahim, Hon Yahaya Ohinoyi Usman, Hon Mohammed Yerima Al-bashir, and Hon Ibrahim Abdullahi Aibro, among others. They were joined by the management of Maikaya Development Foundation and various youth and women groups.

The visit was in response to a tragic motor accident that claimed the lives of their sister, in-law, and other family members.

The immediate past Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has expressed his condolences to Dr. Muhammed Musa Maikaya, CEO of Maikaya Foundation, and Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya, the Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government Area, over a tragic motor accident in Toto LGA that claimed six family members.

Balarabe led delegation visited Toto on Monday to condole with the Onah of Ogye, HRH. Alhaji Muhammed Umar Azaki, the families of the deceased, and the people of Toto over the tragic accident that claimed six lives.

He expressed deep shock and described the incident as a significant loss for the community.

Balarabe Abdullahi urged the people to accept the tragedy as an act of God and prayed for the souls of the deceased, asking for their shortcomings to be forgiven and for them to be granted paradise.

He also encouraged continued prayers for their families and emphasized faith in God during such difficult times.

The incident occurred on Sunday, prompting the former Speaker to visit and sympathize with the affected families.

Arc. Jaafar Mohammed Ibrahim and Hon Yahaya Ohinoyi Usman led separate delegations to Toto to offer condolences to the bereaved family following a tragic motor accident. Arc. Jaafar prayed for the souls of the deceased to be accepted in paradise and for the family to have the strength to bear their loss.

Hon Yahaya Ohinoyi Usman emphasized that his visit was purely for condolence, not political, and encouraged continued trust in God despite the tragedy. Both leaders expressed their support and solidarity with the affected families

The two PDP leaders, Hon Yahaya Ohinoyi Usman and Arc. Ibrahim Mohammed Jaafar figures involved in the condolence visit, prayed for God to ease the pain of the bereaved family and grant them the strength to bear their irreparable loss.

Hon. Mohammed Yerima Al-bashir, a former House of Representatives candidate and Technical Adviser to the Federal Commissioner for Refugees, Migrants and internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), led a delegation to Toto to sympathize with Dr. Musa Maikaya and the Toto Local Government Executive Chairman, Hon Ahmed Baba Yahaya over the tragic loss of family members.

He emphasized that death is inevitable and urged people to acknowledge its unpredictability.

Al-bashir also extended condolences to HRH Ohinoyi Ogye, Alhaji Umar Muhammed Azaki.

Meanwhile, Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Aibro, a former House of Representatives candidate led another delegation to offer condolences to the bereaved family members, praying for God’s mercy on the deceased and their families.

Another delegation that visited to offer condolences included the Maikaya Development Foundation, led by its Chief Operating Officer and Senior Special Assistant to the Nasarawa State Governor, Hon Shuaibu Sani, supported by Comr. Jaafar Muhammed Loko.

They acknowledged the bereaved family’s exemplary life and prayed for God to forgive their shortcomings and grant the family strength to bear the loss.

Sani said the visit was part of efforts by various groups and leaders to support the affected families during their time of grief

A group of youths and women, including members of the carpentry association, artisans, market women, and political associations, visited the residence of Dr. Musa Maikaya in Toto to express their condolences to the bereaved family. They prayed for God to ease the family’s pain during this trying time and offered their support and solidarity in the aftermath of the tragic loss.

Responding, the chief mourners, Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya, the Chairman of Toto LGA, and his elder brother Dr. Muhammed Musa Maikaya expressed gratitude to former Speaker Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Hon Arc. Jaafar Muhammed Ibrahim, Hon Mohammed Yerima Al-bashir, Hon Ibrahim Abdullahi Aibro and all the political groups and associations for their condolence visit, praying for God to reward them accordingly.

The tragic motor accident claimed the lives of an APC Chairmanship aspirant, Muhammed Usman Danism, his wife (a biological sister to the LG Chairman), and four others.

The incident occurred on Sallah day along the Abaji-Lokoja road after they observed Eid prayers in Toto.

A three-day Firdaus prayer for the six deceased family members who lost their lives in a tragic motor accident will be held today at 10 am at the Central Mosque in Toto. The Executive Chairman of Toto Local Government, Hon Ahmed Baba Yahaya, in a statement he personally issued and made available to Journalists invited the people of Toto and beyond to participate in these prayers, seeking peaceful repose for the deceased.

He said the event is part of the community’s and family efforts to honor and remember those who passed away.t
