Ex-guber aspirant, Aishat Blessing Ekele felicitates ex-governor Bello on his 50th birthday

Hon. Aishat Blessing Ekele, a former governorship aspirant in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election for the 2019 elections, has joined others in celebrating the immediate past governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, as he marks his 50th birthday.

Yahaya Bello, who made history in 2016 as the youngest governor of Kogi State, is widely recognized for his leadership, courage, and efforts to empower youth and women in politics.

His tenure is noted for breaking traditional political barriers and fostering inclusivity across the state, making his 50th birthday a significant milestone celebrated by political associates and the wider Kogi community

The chieftain of APC disclosed this in Lokoja on Wednesday to newsmen , describing the ex- governor as a courageous leader in this generation whose positive impact remains evergreen.

The Governorship aspirant in 2019 APC party primary in kogi , who later joined forces with the ex- governor after the party primary to ensure his resounding victory at the poll said Alhaji Yahaya Bello is a brave and courageous man with candour of a true lion, while he held sway to leadership mantle in the state.

Hon. Aishat Blessing Ekele, an ex- Vice chairman of Olamaboro LG between 2020 and 2023 prayed for the ex-governor to receive more strength, grace, wisdom and courage, as well as long life and prosperity.

The Magajia 1 of Uke kingdom in Nassarawa state thanked the ex-governor for the enthronement of inclusive leadership where youths and women folks were given chance to contribute their quotas to the upliftment of the state.

“Your emergence in the corridor of power in the confluence region is divined . Your narrative of power shows that you are a pathfinder, with a beacon of hope for all, particularly the women and youths in the society of kogi .

“At your 50 years, we are not celebrating your personal journey and conquests alone , but your remarkable contributions to the growth of humanity, as exemplified by your legacy projects, sprawling across the state.

“No doubt , your excellency, your leadership style, delivery and vision will continue to inspire future generations yet unborn in the confluence , and beyond “, said Hon . Aishat Ekele, who is presently a Local Government Special Assistant to Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo.

Hon .Aishat B Ekele who also contested the party primary of Federal House of Representatives for Ankpa, Omala, Olamaboro Federal constituency in 2018/2019 and came second said she took consolation in the ex-governor’s political discipline and posture, anchored on: “there is always a next time”.

According to her, that rich political character of the ex- governor inspired her to work assiduously to ensure candidate of the party coast home victory in the ensued general election.
