FCT poll: APC Youth stakeholders lauds NWC for ensuring free, fair delegates congress

The Coalition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth Stakeholders in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has commended the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) for ensuring a free, fair, and credible delegate congress, which held on Saturday, across the territory.
A statement signed by the spokesperson of the coalition, Hon Hashimu Angama, which was made available to newsmen in Abuja, on Tuesday, the youth coalition commended the party’s NWC for standing firm to ensure that the delegate congress is well coordinated.
The APC youth stakeholders, described process as a critical step towards building internal democracy and party unity ahead of the forthcoming chairmanship primaries slated for June, Wednesday, 25, 2025 across the six area councils of the FCT.
They, however, noted that, the peaceful conduct of the congress has demonstrated the party’s commitment to democratic values and inclusiveness, especially among young members of the party.
They also acknowledged the efforts of the party’s NWC for deploying credible electoral officials, including security agencies that ensured the processes were rancored free during the delegate congress.
“And besides, the successful delegate congress has not only restored confidence among grassroots members but has also set the tone for credible primaries that will produce popular and widely accepted candidates,”the statement said.
The coalition, therefore, called on the leadership of the APC to maintain the standard of fairness and transparency, especially as the party commence its phase of primary election.
They noted that, such practices would strengthen the APC’s chances in the 2027 general elections and also solidify youth trust in the party’s leadership, even as they encouraged all aspirants to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship and work collectively toward the party’s victory at all levels.
