Reps Gaza Begins Distribution of 10 Trucks of Fertilizers to Farmers in 13 LGAs in Nasarawa State

Member representing Keffi, Karu, and Kokona federal constituency, Jonathan Gaza, has launched the distribution of 10 trucks of fertilizers to 147 electoral wards across the 13 local government areas of Nasarawa state.
Jonathan Gaza, flagged off the distribution in Karu, Keffi, Akwanga and Lafia on Saturday.
While flagging off the distribution of 10 trucks of fertilizers, the member, representing Keffi, Karu and Kokona federal constituency, Jonathan Gaza, said the initiative aims to boost dry season farming and enhance food security in the state.
The distribution was flagged off in four locations including Karu, Keffi, Akwanga, and Lafia is expected to benefit Farmers across the state, regardless of their political parties affiliation.
“It is an intervention to provide fertilizers especially now that we are in the farming season so that farmers can use it to bring inputs and yields for our people in order to get food and remember this administration slogan, the renewed hope agenda, of its priority is to ensure that food security is guaranteed”.
Jonathan Gaza also met with the Fulani community in Nasarawa West Senatorial district, where he distributed fertilizers and cow salts to encourage them to boost their farming activities, aditionally, he announced scholarships for ten Fulani students from each of the five local government areas.

In response, the Nasarawa state Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Akajo Kyara, and Ardo Fulani Nasarawa west, Alhaji Usman Damau, appreciated Gaza for his support to the Fulani community, just as Gaza was also awarded for his support to Fulani education in the constituency.
In Akwanga and Murya, Jenkwe administrative area council, beneficiaries from the Northern and Southern senatorial districts received additional support from Jonathan Gaza, who was represented by David Maiyaki, former member of the Nasarawa state House of Assembly, and Augustine Monday Akpu, senior legislative aid to Gaza, disclosed that apart from fertilizers, other essential items were distributed to farmers including Sprayers and Water Pumping Machines to enable farmers to irrigate their crops effectively, increasing their dry season crop yields and improving their livelihoods.
“Gaza has been distributing fertilizers to his constituency but this time around he felt that this should benefit all parts of the state to boost agriculture in the entire state. Gaza is a member that has farmers at heart that is why every year he distributes farm inputs to farmers”.

Beneficiaries, including former permanent secretary Peter Akaba, from Agyaragu, Wakili Danlami, and Abdullahi Mohammed, SDP Members from Akwanga zone, praised Gaza’s commitment to supporting the agricultural sector and promoting economic development in the state and promised to use the items as expected.
The fertilizer distribution is expected to increase crop yields and improve the livelihoods of farmers in Nasarawa state.
