Kogi NYCN Lauds Gov Ododo’s security measures, leadership

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Kogi State chapter, under Chairman Comrade Abdulmumini Abdulrahman Enesi, has praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his leadership in ensuring stable security of lives and properties and for the equitable distribution of wealth across the state.
Enesi revealed that Governor Ododo’s prudent leadership, good governance, and commitment to tackling security challenges as reasons why he is regarded as one of the best performing governors in Nigeria.
He made the public commendation through a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Buhari Idris, 26th November 2026, saying Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration has received recognition for its efforts in youth empowerment and inclusive governance, with NYCN stakeholders appreciating the governor’s commitment to youth development and support, including the prompt payment of NYCN subventions and inclusion of youth in governance processes.
According to him, governor has also been noted for strengthening security by distributing security vehicles and resources to agencies, improving the state’s security architecture, and absorbing vigilantes as civil servants to enhance security operations.
“Governor Ododo’s dedication to good governance extends to legal and institutional reforms, where he was named Nigeria’s Most Rule of Law Compliant Governor in 2025, being recognized for sponsorship of legal practitioners and strengthening justice institutions in Kogi State.”
“His approach includes addressing illegal mining and banditry while coordinating with national security agencies to uphold peace and security in the state.”
The statement further urged local government chairmen and government officials to accord priority to NYCN coordinators in their respective LGAs, thereby ensuring that youths statewide have access to them, in line with the Governor’s example.
Enesi also urged youths to maintain their focus and support for the administrations of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
