Kogi lawmaker Idrees Aliyu Maikudi hails Ohimegye Igu Koton-karfe (Agabaidu) on two-year throne anniversary
A most performing lawmaker in Kogi State, Honourable Idrees Aliyu (Maikudi Girinya), who represents Kogi/Koton-karfe State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, has congratulated a first class monarch, His Royal Majesty. the revered Ohimegye Igu Koton-karfe, Dr. Saidu Akawu Salihu for marking two years on the throne of his forebears.

Aliyu Maikudi, who is the chairman of the House Committee on Education, extended warm greetings to Ohimegye Salihu, the 27th Ohimegye of Igu Koton Karfe Kingdom. The lawmaker joined indigenous Egbira people in celebrating the occasion.

He described Ohimegye Akawu Salihu as the guardian of their cultural heritage, values, and tradition.
According to him, the two years anniversary highlights the deep reverence that Egbira Miyakan sons and daughters hold for the ancient throne and its occupant with dignity.
He commended Ohimegye Igu Koton-karfe for fostering peace in his domain. “His exemplary leadership, wisdom, and unwavering commitment” to peace and unity.”
The lawmaker noted that the Ohimegye’s reign has bolstered peace and driven collective advancement for the Egbura nation.
While invoking God for enduring reign, Mr Aliyu Maikudi, praying Gof for Dr Akawu Salihu’s continued guidance, robust health, and longevity.
He wished the monarch many more years of impactful service to Koton Karfe Kingdom and the wider Ebira land.
