In a rebuttal on Wednesday, Faleke described the claim that the Presidency directed former Governor Yahaya Bello and current Governor Usman Ododo to honour a one-term deal in which he was involved as entirely false, misleading, and baseless.
“I wish to categorically refute a report published by TrackNews… alleging that the Presidency directed His Excellencies, former Governor Yahaya Bello and Governor Usman Ododo, to honour a purported one-term agreement in Kogi State, in which I was allegedly involved,” Faleke stated.

He added unequivocally: “I never had any discussion, nor was I privy to any conversation, arrangement, or agreement regarding a one-term deal in Kogi State or any related matter. At no point in time was I a party to such an agreement, whether directly or indirectly.

“The Kogi born cum Lagos lawmaker noted that the publication had triggered a flurry of calls and text messages seeking clarification, prompting his swift response.
Faleke urged the public to disregard the “fabrication” in its entirety, insisting it lacked any factual foundation.
The denial comes amid ongoing political discourse in Kogi State, where speculation about governorship tenures has occasionally surfaced.
