The Kogi State Director of the City Boy Movement, Hon Mark Ogah Okpanachi, has intensified his high-level consultations with key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), culminating in a strategic courtesy visit to the former Chief of Naval Staff, Rear Admiral Usman Oyibe Jibrin (Rtd.), at Abuja, a move that underscores the movement’s expanding influence ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to a statement signed by Hon Ogah and made available to newsmen by the State Media Directorate of the City Boy Movement, this engagement is part of a broader statewide interface designed to fortify the APC’s party structure by rallying influential leaders committed to the party’s progressive agenda and the continuity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope administration.

During the pivotal meeting, the retired naval chief, popularly known as Akpabana and a former governorship candidate of the APC in Kogi State, reaffirmed his unshakeable loyalty to the party while hailing the City Boy Movement’s ongoing mobilisation drive across the state as timely, strategically positioned, and essential for sustaining the momentum of progressive governance under the current federal leadership.

The Admiral, whose endorsement carries substantial weight in political circles, pledged his full support to the movement, observing that its rapidly growing footprint signifies a well-coordinated push to heighten political awareness, foster unity among party faithful, and bridge divides across diverse communities in Kogi State, thereby injecting fresh momentum into the APC’s preparations for future electoral battles.
