Kogi: CUSTECH Expels Eight Students Over Examination Malpractice

The management of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, has approved the expulsion of eight students over their involvement in examination malpractice.

The decision was reached by the University Senate during its 30th Regular Meeting held on April 29, 2026, in accordance with the institution’s academic regulations as outlined in the Student Handbook.

In a statement signed by the Deputy Registrar (Academics), Mr. Eli Gbadufu, the affected students were found guilty of examination misconduct during the first semester examinations of the 2025/2026 academic session.

The statement noted that the students were investigated by the Examination Misconduct Committee, whose findings were subsequently ratified by the Senate.

The expelled students include:

Yakubu Abdulrazak Adavize (Matric No: 23L1LB0472), 300 Level, Library and Information Science

Olowu Samuel Ayomide (Matric No: 24L1MN1476), 200 Level, Mining Engineering

Usman Bilal (Matric No: 22L1FT0717), 400 Level, Information Technology

Adams Michael (Matric No: 24L1FT1958), 200 Level, Information Technology

Ale David (Matric No: 24L1ME2194), 200 Level, Mechanical Engineering

Habiba Muhammed (Matric No: 25L1BA5121), 100 Level, Business Administration

Mustapha Faith Adetutu (Matric No: 24L1AR3121), 200 Level, Agricultural Science

The university management reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice and urged students to adhere strictly to the highest standards of academic integrity.
