By Yahaya Idris
Stakeholders of the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) have commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for providing a platform for former NAKOSS President and House of Representatives aspirant for Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency, Comrade Moses Omeiza Audu, popularly known as Troy, to participate in the just concluded party primaries.
The stakeholders, in a statement issued on Wednesday and jointly signed by Engr. Godwin SB and Comrade Faruk Maziyi Suleiman in Lokoja, described the support received by Audu Troy across the constituency as overwhelming, despite his inability to secure the APC ticket for the National Assembly election.
The student leaders expressed satisfaction with the peaceful and hitch-free conduct of the primaries, noting that the process reflected the commitment of the APC leadership and students to transparency and internal democracy.
According to them, the opportunity given to young aspirants such as Audu Troy to contest and successfully scale through the screening process demonstrated Governor Ododo’s commitment to youth inclusion and political empowerment in Kogi State.
They added that the governor’s leadership style had continued to inspire confidence and renewed hope among young people across the state.
The stakeholders pledged their continued loyalty and support to the Ododo administration, stressing that the governor had shown genuine interest in nurturing future leaders through inclusive governance.
They also called on supporters of Audu Troy and the people of Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency to rally behind the APC flagbearer ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to the group, the victory of the APC in the forthcoming elections should remain a collective responsibility for all party members and supporters across the constituency.
“Winning the 2027 election is now a collective project for all loyal party members and supporters. We urge everyone to remain united and committed to the success of the APC,” the statement noted.
The stakeholders further appreciated political leaders, associates and supporters across Okene and Ogori-Magongo for their encouragement, solidarity and belief in the aspiration of Audu Troy throughout the primary process.
