The Executive Director of the Nigeria Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), Princess Maimunat Eke Audu, has reaffirmed her commitment to grassroots development by empowering residents across Kogi State with working tools and financial support worth millions of naira.

The empowerment initiative, which benefited artisans, farmers, traders, and small business owners, saw the distribution of grinding engines, vulcanizing machines, mechanical tools, welding equipment, sprayer pumps, barbing kits, laptops, and cash donations.

The programme was designed to provide practical support to rural dwellers and entrepreneurs by equipping them with resources needed to start, sustain, and expand their businesses.

The empowerment drive aligns with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which focuses on economic inclusion, support for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), job creation, and improved living standards for Nigerians.

Princess Audu, a daughter of the late former governor of Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, was commended for translating the federal government’s vision into tangible benefits for ordinary citizens through people-oriented interventions.

Many beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the intervention, saying the support has restored hope and provided them with opportunities for self-reliance and economic stability.

Speaking on the initiative, beneficiaries described the gesture as timely and impactful, noting that the tools would improve their businesses and enhance their sources of livelihood.

Stakeholders at the event noted that the initiative would not only improve household incomes but also strengthen economic activities at the grassroots level.
