Dignitaries Storm Lokoja as Barr. Abdulrasheed Muhammed Osuku Holds Daughter’s Naming Ceremony

Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, was a beehive of activities on Saturday as eminent personalities from different walks of life gathered to celebrate with the family of Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, Executive Chairman of the Kogi State Civil Service Commission, during the naming ceremony of his granddaughter and daughter to his eldest son, Barr. Abdulrasheed Muhammed Osuku.

The well-attended event, held at the Osuku family residence in Lokoja, attracted a large number of Islamic scholars, judges, legal practitioners, politicians, top government officials, traditional title holders, youth groups, women organizations, family members, friends, and well-wishers who came to rejoice with the family over the arrival of the newborn child.
The atmosphere was filled with joy, gratitude, and celebration as guests offered prayers and goodwill messages to the family, describing the birth of the baby girl as a divine blessing and a source of happiness to the Osuku dynasty.
Leading the spiritual aspect of the ceremony, prominent Islamic clerics conducted the traditional naming rites and offered special prayers for the newborn child, her parents, and the entire family.
The scholars prayed for Allah’s protection, guidance, wisdom, good health, and long life for the child, while also seeking divine blessings and prosperity for her future.
The clerics further prayed for Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku and members of his household, asking Allah to continue to strengthen the family, grant them peace, and make the newborn a source of pride and fulfillment to her parents, grandparents, and society at large.
Several guests who spoke at the occasion congratulated Barr. Abdulrasheed Muhammed Osuku and his wife on the safe delivery of their daughter, noting that children are precious gifts from God and should be nurtured in accordance with the teachings of Islam and societal values.
The event also provided an opportunity for friends, associates, and admirers of the Osuku family to celebrate the achievements and contributions of Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku to the development of Kogi State and the legal profession.
