YOUNG IGALA INNOVATOR SHINES ON GLOBAL STAGE, REPRESENTS NIGERIA IN LONDON, EMERGES RUNNER-UP AT BLUE FOOD INNOVATION SUMMIT
A young Nigerian innovator from Igala extraction in Kogi State, Salifu Eyiojotule Daniel, has brought pride to Nigeria and Africa after emerging as the first runner-up at the prestigious Blue Food Innovation Summit held in London, United Kingdom.
Salifu, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AquaProX Africa, represented Nigeria as the only Nigerian and the sole African selected among seven innovative startups invited to showcase their solutions before a global audience of investors, aquaculture experts, researchers, policymakers, and industry stakeholders.

Competing against seasoned entrepreneurs and innovators from across the world, Salifu’s groundbreaking innovation, AquaProX AI, secured second place in the audience voting category, narrowly missing the top spot by just two votes.
AquaProX AI is an advanced technology platform designed to revolutionize aquaculture in Africa by shifting fish farming from a reactive approach to a predictive system. The platform leverages artificial intelligence and data-driven insights to help farmers make informed decisions, improve productivity, reduce risks, and promote sustainable fish production.

Speaking after the event, Salifu described the achievement as a significant milestone not only for himself but also for Nigerian youth, African innovation, and the continent’s growing blue economy.
*”This achievement is bigger than me. Standing on that stage as the only Nigerian and only African among global innovators reaffirmed my belief that Africa possesses world-class talent, ideas, and solutions capable of transforming industries. The experience has further strengthened my commitment to building technologies and creating opportunities
