Former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, has condoled with the family of the late Talban Toto, Alhaji Jibrin Abdullahi Ndagi, and the entire Toto community over the death of the revered community leader.

Adamu, who contested the recent governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, which Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada was announced as winner, had exited the party after the exercise, citing what he described as injustice and lack of internal democracy within the ruling party.

Although there are speculations linking the former police chief with the Social Democratic Party (SDP), he has yet to officially announce his next political move, despite ongoing consultations reportedly being led across the 13 local government areas of the state by his wife, Hajiya Rukayya Muhammad Abubakar Adamu.

During a condolence visit to Toto Local Government Area, Adamu was represented by his wife, Hajiya Rukayya Abubakar, popularly known as Kwalliyar Lafia.

Speaking on behalf of her husband, the retired IGP, Hajiya Rukayya first visited the family of the late Alhaji Jibrin Ndagi (Talban Toto), described as a highly respected and influential figure in Toto, who passed away last week.

She also visited Ugya Community to sympathize with the family of the late Salihu Ugya, a loyal supporter of the Rtd. IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu political structure.

According to her, Salihu Ugya’s dedication, loyalty, and unwavering support to the Adamu political movement would remain unforgettable, noting that his passing represents a major loss to the entire team.

During both visits, Hajiya Rukayya offered prayers for the deceased, asking Almighty Allah to forgive their shortcomings, grant them Aljannatul Firdaus, and give their families the strength and patience to bear the painful loss.

The bereaved families expressed appreciation to Hajiya Rukayya and her entourage for the condolence visits, solidarity, and support during their period of mourning.
