The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, on Wednesday received a delegation of All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders and supporters from Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi State at his office in Abuja.
The visit came shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially confirmed Karimi’s candidacy as the APC flagbearer for the forthcoming senatorial election, following his emergence through the party’s nomination process.
Addressing the delegation, Senator Karimi disclosed that the stakeholders visited to congratulate him on the confirmation of his candidacy and reaffirm their commitment to the success of the APC in the upcoming general elections.
“Earlier today, I received critical stakeholders and APC supporters from Kabba, Kabba-Bunu Local Government, in my office. They came to congratulate me on the confirmation of my candidacy by INEC, as approved by the party,” Karimi stated.
According to the senator, the delegation pledged their unwavering loyalty to the APC and expressed readiness to mobilize massive support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, all APC candidates, and his re-election bid in the general elections scheduled for January and February next year.
The lawmaker described the visit as a strong demonstration of unity and confidence in the party’s leadership and its candidates ahead of the polls.
Karimi expressed profound appreciation to the stakeholders and supporters for their continued solidarity and steadfast support since the beginning of his representation of Kogi West in the Senate.
He assured them that he would remain committed to providing quality representation, promoting people-oriented legislation, and attracting developmental projects that would improve the standard of living across the senatorial district.
“I appreciated their love, solidarity, and support since day one of my representation. I also promised never to relent or take for granted the trust reposed in me. I gave my word to always provide quality representation that will develop and improve our society and the livelihood of our people at all times,” the senator added.
The meeting is seen as part of ongoing political consultations and grassroots mobilization ahead of the forthcoming elections, with the APC intensifying efforts to consolidate support across Kogi West.
