The member representing Nasarawa Central Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim, has once again demonstrated her commitment to grassroots development by distributing millions of naira worth of empowerment items to constituents during the 11th edition of her annual “Talafin Tafisu” Constituency Empowerment Programme.
The empowerment exercise, held on Saturday in Nasarawa Local Government Area, saw the distribution of 15 motorcycles, 100 bags of NKP 20-10-10 fertiliser, cartons of herbicides and cash grants of ₦20,000 each to 200 women as start-up capital to support small-scale businesses and improve household incomes.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Danyaro, who chairs the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, described the initiative as a strategic intervention aimed at improving the living standards of her constituents, reducing poverty and complementing government efforts in promoting economic growth and food security.
She explained that the Talafin Tafisu programme was deliberately designed to positively impact lives through sustainable empowerment initiatives that cut across women, youths and farmers.
“Today is another historic day in Nasarawa Central Constituency as we hold the 2026 edition of our annual Talafin Tafisu empowerment programme, the 11th in the series. We are distributing 15 motorcycles, fertilisers for our farmers and empowering 200 women with ₦20,000 each as start-up capital,” she said.
The lawmaker noted that agriculture remains the backbone of the local economy, stressing that the distribution of fertilisers would enhance food production and support the Federal and State Governments’ drive towards food security.
Dr. Danyaro further disclosed that since assuming office three years ago, she has consistently implemented people-oriented projects, including the distribution of 45 motorcycles, employment opportunities for over 70 constituents, construction of boreholes, and interventions in education, healthcare and rural development.
She appreciated the people of Nasarawa Central Constituency for their unwavering support and confidence in her leadership, assuring them that more developmental projects and empowerment programmes would be implemented if given another opportunity to serve.
The lawmaker advised beneficiaries to utilise the motorcycles, fertilisers and financial support for the purposes they were intended, warning against selling the items.
“For those who benefited today, I urge you to use these items wisely to improve your livelihoods. Those yet to benefit should remain patient because this programme is designed to reach every part of the constituency,” she added.
Dr. Danyaro also reaffirmed her commitment to partnering with the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule to attract more democratic dividends to Nasarawa Central Constituency.
She urged residents to remain peaceful, law-abiding and supportive of government policies, describing peace as the foundation for sustainable development.
The event also served as a political mobilisation platform ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the lawmaker calling on constituents to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Abdullahi Sule, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Several dignitaries, including representatives of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, the Nasarawa State APC Chairman, the Nasarawa West APC Zonal Chairman, the Chairman of Nasarawa Local Government Area, and other party leaders, commended Dr. Danyaro’s outstanding performance and described her as one of the most impactful legislators to have represented Nasarawa Central Constituency.
