Oborevwori to New Udu Lawmaker: Justify People’s Confidence

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has charged the newly sworn-in Member representing Udu State Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Ator Okolosi, to justify the confidence of the electorate through effective representation.

Oborevwori gave the charge when he received Okolosi, alongside the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, and other Udu leaders at the Government House in Asaba on Tuesday.

The governor congratulated Okolosi on his victory in the September 19 Udu State Constituency by-election and his subsequent swearing-in as a member of the legislature.

He commended the people of Udu for their confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) and urged the new lawmaker to focus on issues that would improve the wellbeing of his constituents.

According to the governor, Okolosi should remain committed to the ideals of the party while working diligently for the development of Udu State Constituency during the remaining period of the Assembly’s tenure.

The governor’s remarks came as Okolosi formally visited the Government House with party and community leaders following his assumption of office.

Responding, Okolosi thanked Governor Oborevwori, Speaker Guwor, party leaders and other stakeholders for their support throughout the electoral process.

He also expressed appreciation for the contributions that led to his election and swearing-in.
