It was a gathering of family members, community leaders and political officeholders in Kwandare, Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, on Saturday as Salisu Musa Galadima and Sa’adatu Ibrahim Lawal celebrated their marriage.

The ceremony featured prayers, marriage rites and goodwill messages, with former Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, offering advice to the newlyweds on the importance of maintaining a peaceful and successful home.

Balarabe Abdullahi, who represented the interest of the groom’s father, urged the couple to make mutual understanding, openness and trust the foundation of their marriage.

He cautioned against unnecessary third-party involvement in matrimonial affairs and encouraged the couple to share their concerns, respect each other’s views and remain committed to resolving challenges together.

The former Speaker also prayed for God’s blessings upon their union, urging them to uphold the values and responsibilities associated with marriage.

Hon. Muhammed Ibrahim Alkali, Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Legislative Liaison, accompanied Balarabe Abdullahi to the occasion.

The marriage was solemnised by the Chief Imam of Kwandare Central Mosque, Malam Salihu Akwai, following the presentation of medical certificates of fitness and payment of ₦450,000 as bride price.

In his remarks and prayers, the Chief Imam encouraged Salisu and Sa’adatu to regard themselves as partners, remain sincere with each other and approach their marriage with patience and understanding.

Alhaji Halidu Umar stood in for the bride’s father, while the Deputy Chairman of Lafia Local Government Area, Hon. Uba Arikya, attended alongside other guests.

Praise singers added colour to the celebration as relatives, friends and well-wishers joined the couple in marking the beginning of their marital journey.
