Kogi LG Election: Kogi LG APC Stakeholders Endorse Bala ECOMOG, Return Him As APC Flag-bearer.

Koton-karfe, Kogi Local Government stakeholders have backed the candidature of Hon. Abdulkarim Bala alias ECOMOG, for the Chairmanship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The stakeholders, who met at the party Secretariat on Friday, in Koton-Karfe, the LG headquarter, for the conduct of the primaries said they opted for Bala ECOMOG after unanimously agreed for his candidature to fly the ticket of the APC.

In a remark, Hon. Abdulkarim bala ECOMOG praised all the stakeholders, youths, women and APC for finding him worthy of the task ahead, assuring that he won’t let them down.

He also thanked Governor Yahaya Bello for giving him the opportunity to served in his cabinet and now the flag bearer of the APC for the upcoming Chairmanship Election.

Also speakeing, the Commissioner for Solid Mineral and Natural Resources, Hon. Engr. Abubakar Bashir Gegu who spoke at the gathering, described the ambition of Bala ECOMOG as a divine mandate saying he was on a mission to transform Kogi LG.

Engr. Bashir said: “The stakeholders has come to a conclusion to support ECOMOG because, he is a man who has been tested and trusted for any assignment.

He said that the stakeholders would ensure that ECOMOG emerged the candidate of the APC and win in the forthcoming election.

Flanked by other leaders, Engr. Bashir Gegu also apologies to the stakeholders for their shortcomings especially during the processes of picking a candidate for the party.

Stakeholders in attendance notably among them are,
Hon. Muhammed Abubakar Tanko Okofi, member representing Koton-Karfe/Kogi constituency at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, immediate past Administrator of Kogi LG, former council Chairmen, APC Executives led by Alhaji Audu Omoko, party stalwarts and among others.

Our correspondent Yahaya Idris, who was on ground reports that the primary election was peaceful, orderly and most attended by who is who from Kogi LG.

The primary was supervised by SIEC officials from within Kogi LG and State in general. The security agencies were fully on ground to ensure a peaceful atmosphere before, during and after the process.
