As political parties in Kogi State warm up for council elections set for December 12th, 2020 by the Yahaya Bello’s administration, the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Edward Onoja, has saluted the 21 chairmanship and 239 councillorship aspirants on the platform of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC). Speaking in his office in Lokoja the state capital, Chief Onoja hailed the flag-bearers for clinching their various tickets while assuring them that they are now the candidates to beat.

The Deputy Governor described the aspirants’ emergence as proof of their party loyalty and broad acceptance among members. He admonished them to swing into action to reinvigorate their appeal to voters and expand their support structures in their various constituencies. Chief Onoja called on every member APC at all levels to lend the aspirants their support for 100% victory for the APC. He then wished the aspirants success even as he charged them to be law-abiding in their campaigns.
