Let us end Disastrous Flooding once and for all, President Buhari told Minister To Produce action Plan within 90 days.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has finally set to provide a lasting solution into the reccuring devastating flooding which has cause more destruction to the nation especially the riverine States.
Globaltimesnigeria.com has obtained a reports which indicated that President Muhammadu Buhari has order the Minister of Water Resources, Engr.Suleiman Hussein Adamu, to lead and coordinate with the Ministries of Environment and Transportation as well as State Governments to develop a Comprehensive Plan of Action for Preventing Flood Disaster in Nigeria.
The President’s directive, conveyed to the Minister in a letter signed by his Chief of Staff, Prof Ibrahim Gambari, said the Plan should be presented to him in 90 days.
In a statement signed by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media & Publicity) on Monday in Abuja and a copy available to the Reporters, President Buhari is regularly receiving updates on the flooding situation in the country and restates his commitment towards addressing the challenges caused by the disaster in the country.
Globaltimesnigeria.com also reports that Both floods have been somehow attributed to the release of excess water from the Lagdo dam in Northern Cameroon as released water from it cascades down into Nigeria through River Benue and its tributaries, overwhelming communities that are already vulnerable due to heavy rainfall.
