Nasarawa Female lawmaker, Hajarat Danyaro begin construction, rehabilitation of drainages
….Pledges more commitment in her constituency.
Member Representing Nasarawa Central constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim has commenced another phase of her constituency intervention program to meet the yearnings and aspirations of her people as part of fulfilment of her campaign promises.
This, the Only female lawmaker in the State has commenced construction, rehabilitation and cleaning of drainages ahead of the raining season to address the health, climate and other environmental challenges in her constituency.
Hon. Danyaro and Chairman House Committee on Women Affairs was speaking as the commencement of work for the construction of culvert at Anguwan Depot in Nasarawa, the Headquarters of the LGA.
According to her, the work was part of her campaign promises made to the people and will cut across many other places with such challenges in her constituency.
She revealed that the work will involve construction of culverts, rehabilitation of existing ones and cleaning of already filled ones as well as evacuating of refuse dumps.
“This was part of fulfilment of my campaign promises to the people as health is said to be wealth hence the need of my intervention in the area of cleaning of refuse dumps
” And you know raining season is setting in and I deem it necessary to ensure that we have functional culverts to ensure free movement of raining water to minimize flooding which Nasarawa is one of the flash points considering the national alert on impending flooding”She added.
The female lawmaker while noting that it was part of her commitment to complement government efforts She solicited for more support and understanding of the people to her mandate and that of Governor Abdullahi Sule to enable them succeed.
Hon. Danyaro re-assured of her commitment to enhance the much needed dividends of democracy to the people calling on them to remain committed to constituted authorities.
