Edo 2024: NANS officials Accuses APC of using fraudulent NGO for endorsement

Kingsley Ohens Reporting

Dr. Paddy Emma Foundation has been accused of fraudulent activities by Comrade Stanley Oamen, a senior operative of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and Special Assistant to Governor Godwin Obaseki. The foundation allegedly defrauded numerous individuals, including high-ranking officials, by luring them with promises of empowerment.

Comrade Oamen reported receiving a text message from the foundation, inviting him to an empowerment event. Upon arrival, attendees were greeted with banners promoting Monday Okpebholo, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC in the Edo 2024 election, which led to many walking out in protest.

Oamen said; “A whole me, a senior NANS operative and Special Assistant to the Governor, was deceived to attend,” said Comrade Oamen. “Once we got there, we saw banners of Akpakomiza and most of us walked away. I left there.”

In a vehement statement, Comrade Oamen clarified that NANS did not endorse Monday Okpebholo and urged Nigerian students to resist the Dr. Paddy Emma Foundation, labeling it a “huge scam” for its deceitful practices.

This exposé raises significant concerns about Okpebholo’s desperation for acceptance, as well as the legitimacy of the foundation’s operations and the extent of its deceptive activities.
