The usually bustling streets of Benin City were thrown into chaos today when Tony Adun, popularly known as Tony Kabaka and Mr Osaro Obazee, allegedly disrupted a PVC (Permanent Voter’s Card) collection exercise. The incident occurred at the designated INEC PVC collection centre in the heart of the city, sparking panic among residents and officials.

It was a typical morning at the INEC office in Benin City, where hundreds of citizens had gathered to collect their PVCs ahead of the upcoming elections. The atmosphere was tense but orderly, with people patiently waiting in long lines, eager to secure their cards. However, around noon, the calm was shattered when Kabaka and Obazee, flanked by a group of men, stormed the premises.

Eyewitnesses recounted how Kabaka and Obazee, well-known political figures with a controversial reputations, approached the INEC officials with what appeared to be a list of names. According to reports, Kabaka demanded preferential treatment for certain individuals, insisting that they be allowed to bypass the line and collect their PVCs immediately.

When INEC staff politely refused, citing the need to follow due process, Kabaka reportedly lost his temper. In the ensuing commotion, he allegedly physically assaulted several staff members, overturning tables and scattering documents. Panic quickly spread through the crowd as people scrambled to flee the scene, fearing for their safety.
