… Urges Toto LG residents to align with Gov’t sustainable development goals

Alhaji Abdullahi Kasim Ohizi, former Egbira Youth Movement President, says the Egbira nation’s success hinges on aligning with central, state, and local governments.
Mr. Kasim Ohizi, a prominent All Progressives Congress leader, made the declaration on Wednesday in Lafia, Nasarawa State Capital, following a meeting with some group regarding the forthcoming LGA elections scheduled for November 2, 2024.
A former assembly aspirant for Toto/Gadabuke constituency, originating from Ohizi in Toto ward and district, warned the Egbira people against deception by self-centered individuals seeking the 2027 governorship, while the current Nasarawa State Governor has barely served two years.
The APC chieftain queried the justification for the two lawmakers’ representation, demanding accountability for their two-year tenure, while criticizing them for lacking tangible achievements in the past one year and urging them to provide a comprehensive account of their stewardship.
He urged residents of Toto LG to exercise caution regarding individuals currently harboring 2027 ambitions, emphasizing that such individuals are driven by desperation and have consistently demonstrated a lack of regard for the well-being of the community through their actions.
“We know those desperators, they have nothing to offer than lies, blackmail. There days are numbered.”
He applauded Governor Abdullahi A Sule’s efforts in providing exemplary governance, ensuring security, and investing in infrastructure within his host Local Government.
“We express our deepest appreciation to Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullah, erstwhile Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly and incumbent Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State, for his exemplary leadership and philanthropic gestures.”
He emphasized that Rt. Hon Balarabe is the critical link connecting Toto LG’s community to government entities, utilizing his office to promote engagement, and stakeholder backing is essential to expand his influence.
