Federal Polytechnic Damaturu's governing council promotes stakeholder collaboration to implement Tinubu's Renew Hope Agenda

Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Immediate Past Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, called for Federal Government agencies and stakeholders to strengthen synergy to realize President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for the education sector.

Rt. Hon Balarabe Abdullahi, who is the Chairman of the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu’s Governing Council stated this when he led council members on a familiarization tour of the North East Development Commission’s office and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, in Damaturu, Yobe State.

The Former Speaker disclosed that the purpose of visiting the North East Development Commission’s Coordinating Office was to foster partnership for safety, improved learning environments, and development opportunities for the Polytechnic.

Balarabe called upon stakeholders and relevant federal agencies to strengthen partnerships, aligning with President Tinubu’s vision to propel Nigeria’s growth and progress.

The three-term former Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, who holds the traditional title of Walin Opanda in Umaisha Kingdom, stated that governance and sustainable development are not a one-man show, hence the need for everyone to support the President in achieving his development blueprint for the country.

“I’m calling on Leaders and Nigerians alike to take necessary actions to implement federal government policies and programs, intensify prayers and support for government success at all levels.”

The Chairman of the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu Governing Council appealed for prayers and cooperation of all Nigerians to enable the President and his team to accomplish the set goals.

Balarabe promised to bring his wealth of experience to bear on the Polytechnic’s development.

He acknowledged the North East Development Commission’s critical role in infrastructure and social services, prompting his visit to seek support and intervention for the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu.

The Chairman and his team also visited the Damaturu office of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCD, where discussions on enhancing security measures to create a more conducive learning environment for the Polytechnic’s students and staff held extensively

The award-winning former Speaker commended the efforts of the NSCDC and other security agencies for promoting peace and security in the Polytechnic and the state as a whole.

The Commandant of the Corps, Sanda Baba Grema, represented by Deputy Commandant Ahmed Tijjani Jume, reaffirmed their dedication to maintaining institutional security.

The Coordinator of the North East Development Commission (NEDC) Office, Prof. Ali Abass, reiterated that the Polytechnic is one of the Commission’s areas of interest and assured them of full support to enable the institution to thrive and succeed at all times.
