On Wednesday, November 13th 2024 ,an unfortunate fire incident occurred in Gwarinpa Estate. Thankfully, the incident, which razed down the Hub Fitness Center, did not take any life.

The thoughts of the Authority are with those affected, and we are committed to assisting them in the ways we can through this challenging time.

However, this incident highlights the importance of strict adherence to building standards and fire safety regulations within our estates, as he have always insisted on.

While we work tirelessly to ensure these standards are met, we acknowledge the need for increased vigilance and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Our preliminary investigation revealed that the property involved did not fully comply with the approved plans and lacked adequate fire safety measures.
