Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo has restated his administration’s dedication to upholding a zero-tolerance policy towards insecurity and all forms of crime in the state in order to advance the cause of development.
The Governor made this statement while receiving the Executive Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government Area, Comr Ameh Williams
, at Government House Lokoja on Wednesday, urging the young politician to continue advancing security and development in his domain
Global Times Nigeria has reported that Governor Ododo’s one-year anniversary in office was recently commemorated, featuring the inauguration of various projects initiated by his administration, with Vice President Kashim Shettima representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during a one-day visit to the State.
Governor Ododo commended Williams for his exceptional leadership and unwavering dedication to security and development initiatives, urging other councils to adopt the vision and framework of his administration.
This comes after the Olamaboro LG Chairman led a security team in the rescue of 11 Cameroonian tourists and staff of Zuma Engineering Company, who were kidnapped along the Echechele-Igah-Ejule Road last week in the eastern part of Kogi State.
Gov Ododo’s endorsement and support demonstrate William’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of the people of Olamaboro.
“The council chairman and the governor engaged in discussions that encompassed critical issues, including security reinforcement, reconnection of Olamaboro to the national power grid, construction of Ibana-Inwa and Imane township roads, agricultural development, and expanded training opportunities for residents.”
This engagement emphasizes the state government’s commitment to harnessing its potential and creating an environment that supports sustainable growth. The Olamaboro Local Government Council is optimistic about the positive outcomes of this meeting and looks forward to forming strategic partnerships that will drive lasting development and economic progress for the local government and Kogi State as a whole.
