Lawmaker Ibrahim Nana Awards Scholarship to 43 Students in Keffi

Hon. Ibrahim Aliyu Nana, the Member representing Keffi West constituency in Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has awarded scholarships to 43 students to support their education at various tertiary institutions within the state.

This, Nana explained that the initiative is part of his efforts to promote education and empower youth in his constituency

The ceremony, held at his constituency office near the NUDB office in Keffi on Sunday, was attended by dignitaries from all walks of life.

Ibrahim Nana explained that the scholarship aims to alleviate the financial burden faced by parents who struggle to pay their children’s school fees.

He urged the beneficiaries to justify the support given to them, notably, the scholarship prioritizes government institutions, including the Nasarawa state University and the College of Health Science and Technology, where recipients receive full academic sponsorship until graduation.

According to Ibrahim Nana, many students in Keffi have been forced to abandon their dreams due to financial hardship, emphasized that investing in critical sectors like the College of Health Science and Technology is vital for the development of the community.

The Commissioner for Information, Culture, and Tourism, Dr. Ibrahim Tanko, represented by Alhaji Muhammad Lawal Nata’ala, commended Ibrahim Nana for aligning with Governor Abdullahi Sule’s vision for youth empowerment and encouraged the beneficiaries to seize the opportunity and make Keffi proud.

The chairman of Keffi local government area, Dr. Muhammad Damagani and APC Chairman of Keffi Local Government Area, Alhaji Bello Soja, praised Ibrahim Nana for his track record of achievements, including sponsoring students to study in various institutions, calling on other politicians to emulate Ibrahim Nana’s example for the overall development of the area.

A breakdown of the scholarship reveals that out of the 43 beneficiaries, 27 students are studying at Nasarawa State University Keffi, while 16 students are enrolled at the College of Health Science and Technology Keffi.
