Toto LG Legislative Arm confirms four Supervisory Councillor nominees

….As Speaker tasks them on selfless service if finally sworn in

The Toto Local Government Legislative Council in Nasarawa State has screened and confirmed four individuals as Supervisory Councillors.

These names were submitted by the Executive Chairman of the Council, Pharm. Ahmed Baba Yahaya for screening.

The confirmation was officially announced by the Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Abdulhameed Abdullahi Ozimazi, during the recent House proceedings in Toto LGC.

This marks an important step in the local government’s administrative process, affirming the appointment of key personnel for supervisory roles within the council.

He charged them to live above board, if finally sworn in by the Chairman of the council.

The Speaker said that those screened and confirmed as Supervisory Councillors are Hon. Idris Hussaini (Sama) from Umaisha District, Hon. Is’haq Salihu Kaura from Shafan Abakpa ward Toto district, Hon. Salihu Ibrahim (Roosy) Hon. Danlami Usman (Garkwan Matasa) from Toto town.

He directed the Clerk of the House to communicate their confirmations to the Executive Chairman of the council for his further necessary action.

Also during the Plenary session, the House passed Four Bills into second reading.

He directed the bills to appropriate committees to work on them and report back to the House within two weeks time.

Furthermore, the House appealed to the Executive Chairman of the council for urgent attention to be given to main road in Toto Town through first lift especially shoulders of the road and also expressed concern over increasing rate of deforestation activities in the name of cutting fire woods and the nefarious activities of scavengers in the area.

The matter was raised by Hon. Umar Abdullahi Maji, Councillor representing Toto ward.
