Basil Okoh’s bla bla and Gov Oborevwori’s smooth ride to 2nd term

You know the guy that goes by the name “Basil Okoh?” Yeah, he’s a well known OJA RADIO without wire, a regular paid propagandist, and a shameless one for that matter. The likes of FO cannot match Basil’s manipulative skills in the thriving business of blackmailing politically exposed persons.

Basil’s mischievous crafting capacity derives strength from Lucifer’s inner temple. It resides in his bloodstream, an evil ordination within Satan’s 33 degrees.

Basil hates the immediate past governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa with perfect hatred, and that includes everything and anybody that is associated with him. His Excellency, the Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori is on Basil’s black book because of his political relationship with Senator Okowa.

Basil’s bitterness dates back to late Tony Obuh’s governorship ambition in 2014. Basil was already penned down for a juicy political appointment as a core “think thank member” of Delta Intelligentsia for Tony Obuh (DITO). His only hope crashed like a pack of cards when Obuh stepped down for another aspirant of the same party, Olorogun David Edevbie. Of course, Senator Okowa won the election and Basil was pained, he wailed like a new born baby.

Basil swore never to have anything to do with Senator Okowa and anybody that is associated with him. His present stake in Senator Agege’s fruits garden is simply to survive, and to fan the ember of disunity in Delta APC because of Senator Okowa’s political affiliation with Governor Oborevwori. Ordinarily, Basil has no personal score to settle with Gov Oborevwori.

I have it on good account that Basil and some politicians are planning to join the ADC party in the near future. Maybe he’s wooing Senator Agege via his warped “Doubts at the Banquet Hall Asaba” piece. But the senator is wiser than that, he may not fall for Basil’s dubious antics. However, anything can happen in politics.

For the fact that Governor Oborevwori is a political associate of Senator Okowa is more than enough reason for Basil to distance himself from the governor, his monumental achievements in less than three years in office notwithstanding. Basil’s tears cannot stop the vibrant and result oriented Okowa-Oborevwori political union. keep wailing and sobbing, my dear Basil. The divine mandate of Oborevwori remain valid till May 29, 2031.

Basil’s unbridled tongue can set fresh leaves on fire, a crude mischief maker, anointed by the politician Talibans of the North. He survives on acute blackmail and naked lies. He’s a damn good evil wordsmith, conceived in iniquity and born on the day Lucifer celebrated the feast of doom.

Basil’s mischievous piece “Doubts at the Banquet Hall Asaba,” was garnished with tears of sorrow, clouded in disbelief that Governor Oborevwori finally rebranded Delta APC and blazing the trail. The party is now united, free from petty squabbles and unwarranted factionalization. Basil is not happy at all, but it’s too late. Nothing can undo the bond of unity in Delta APC under the leadership of the governor.

“Doubts at the Banquet Hall Asaba,” was indeed a piece from a drowning professional blackmailer looking for who to lean on for survival, a ready made pay-master that is capable of supplying his daily bread. He’s relying heavily on Senator Omo Agege for survival. Times are hard, Basil must pay his bills and possibly change his wardrobe. The truth is that Senator Agege is not a MUGU, and I am pretty sure Basil will be disappointed in no distant time.

The APC Stakeholders meeting held at the State Banquet Hall of the Government House was filled to capacity. The who is who in Delta State politics were in attendance. They came from the North, South and Central. Name them; Senator Ede Dafinone, Senator Joel Onowakpor and Senator Ned Nwoko, all sitting Senators representing Delta State at the Red Chamber. They are the true representatives of the good people of Delta State. They endorsed President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori as sole candidates for the presidential and governorship elections come 2027. Weep not, Basil Okoh, for Deltans have spoken with one loud voice.

Immediate Past governor, Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, Minister Festus Keyamo, SAN, representing Delta State at the Federal Executive Council, State party chairman of Delta APC, Elder Omeni Sobotie, members of the state working committee of Delta APC, former National Woman a leader of APC, Hon Stella Okotete, founding Leader of Delta APC, Olorogun Otega Emerhor, Chief Morrison Olori, Senator Ighoyota Amori, past Deputy governors, past and serving national Assembly members, past and sitting members of the State House of Assembly led by the speaker, Rt Hon Emomotimi Guwor, political leaders from the three senatorial districts, members of the State Executive Council, serving and part political appointees from the 25 local government areas, women and youth leaders, and of course, the State Party Leader and Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori and his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, were in attendance.

Senator Ovie Omo Agege was obviously absent, maybe due to other pressing engagements. I am pretty sure that Basil didn’t have a word with Senator Agege before scripting his bla bla Banquet rubbish. Agege should be left alone to go about his political business.

I have no doubt in my mind that Senator Agege is very proud of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s transformational leadership and landmark achievements. It’s not Basil’s business to stage manage Agege, milk him dry, and disappear. Basil is not a card carrying member of any political party. He’s a petty hustler, and a blackmailer for cash. Agege may never buy into Basil’s wooing tactics.

One thing is clear, Basil’s Banquet piece goes to no issue, the coast is very clear. The leaders of APC and the good people of Delta spoke loudly through their elected representatives and political leaders. Basil must of a necessity ponder over this question; “Can any politician within the APC family in Delta State defeat Governor Oborevwori at the party’s governorship primary based on today’s political reality? I guess his honest answer will be a NO.

Let me remind Basil that in 2023, Oborevwori won 21 out of 25 local government areas. Today, the infrastructure development and other mega projects of the governor are visible across the state, not a Kobo borrowed from any bank or financial institution anywhere in the world. Basil cannot be blind to these facts. His deliberate blackmail and propaganda tactics cannot override the obvious.

Gov Oborevwori’s visionary leadership and good governance strides shall resonate at the polls in 2027. President Bola Tinubu is very proud of Oborevwori’s achievements, and they enjoy robust relationship.

Let me also remind Basil that 2027 is not far away, it’s just by the corner. Time shall tell. It’s going to be a smooth ride in 2027. Tinubu-Oborevwori landslide victory in Delta State is non-negotiable, it’s a done deal.

Basil will be here with us in Delta the day Governor Sheriff will take oath of office for his second term, and God alone will take all the Glory.
