Kogi Poly Rector Salisu Ogbo Usman Lights Up Christmas, felitates Christian, Kogi People

The Rector of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman, has extended heartfelt Christmas felicitations to Christians across the state and the nation, urging them to embody the virtues of love, peace, and unity during the yuletide season.
In a statement he signed personally and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Thursday, Dr. Usman described Christmas as a season of profound joy, renewal, and hope, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. He said:
“As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, I felicitate with the Christian community in Kogi State Polytechnic, Kogi State, and Nigeria at large.

“I urge all Christians to use this opportunity to strengthen bonds of unity, promote peaceful coexistence, and contribute to the development of our dear state and country. Let us reflect on the blessings of the past year and approach the new one with renewed zeal and optimism.”
Dr. Usman, a renowned educationist, also prayed for divine protection, prosperity, and success for all Nigerians in the coming year, assuring that the management of Kogi State Polytechnic remains committed to fostering an inclusive environment for students and staff of all faiths.
He called on the celebrants to drive safely, shun excessive consumption and extend gestures of kindness to the less privileged, adding that such actions align with the true spirit of Christmas.

On behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Academic Board, staff and students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, I warmly felicitate with the Christian faithful within and outside the institution, the good people of Kogi State and Nigerians at large on the joyous occasion of the 2025 Christmas celebration.

As we commemorate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, it is my earnest prayer that we continually draw inspiration from His life and teachings, and that we demonstrate unconditional love, empathy, tolerance and compassion in our relationships with one another.
I also urge us to use this solemn and joyful season to reflect deeply on our collective responsibilities towards fostering peace, unity and the overall advancement of humanity.
May the eternal love, peace and compassion exemplified by Jesus Christ remain our guiding light now and always.
