Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for 2027 election in Nasarawa State, Musa Muhammed Maikaya, has commended the leadership of the Shafa Abakpa Community Association (SACA) for nurturing cultural heritage, unity and development in their domain.

Maikaya spoke on Saturday, 27th December 2025, when he attended this year’s annual Irewha Hunting Festival in Shafa Abakpa, Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
He expressed profound gratitude to Governor Abdullahi Sule for restoring peace to Toto LG, noting that residents have come together to bury their past differences as to accelerate development efforts in the area.
“With peace finally returned to Toto LG, the residents are now contributing significantly in efforts to speed up development of the area,” Maikaya stated, highlighting the transformative impact of the governor’s leadership.
The APC chieftain praised the Shafa Abakpa people for their deep respect for culture, which he said drives socio-economic development through hard work and dedication.
Maikaya also lauded the Toto LG Executive Chairman for various initiatives aimed at reviving the area’s lost glory.
He commended SACA’s role in fostering unity and progress, describing the Irewha Hunting Festival as a vibrant celebration of Egbira heritage that promotes community bonding and economic activities.
