By Yahaya Idris
Alhaji Musa Muhammed Maikaya, the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant in Nasarawa State for the 2027 election, has urged residents of Toto Local Government Area and his supporters across the state to fully participate in the ongoing APC E-Registration exercise.
Speaking on Friday at a stakeholders’ meeting held at the Toto Local Government Council Secretariat, Maikaya described the exercise as a pivotal milestone in bolstering the party’s digital membership drive.

The aspirant, who personally revalidated his party membership through the APC E-Registration portal, led by example, calling it a symbolic act of leadership.
Maikaya repeatedly implored Nasarawa people, especially those in Toto, to embrace the APC fully, stressing that the party has consistently delivered tangible benefits to the area.
He listed key gains for Toto under APC governance, including greater inclusion of its indigenes in state appointments, improved access to decision-making, enhanced political relevance, and development opportunities tied to party loyalty.
According to Maikaya, the APC remains a reliable platform that rewards commitment with progress and inclusion for loyal members.
The gubernatorial hopeful openly praised Nasarawa State Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, for demonstrating the value of party loyalty and consistency.
“For us, we have every reason to thank Gov. Abdullahi A. Sule. We can all see the benefits of party participation. Since 2014, Toto Local Government has been APC, and APC has been Toto Local Government,” Maikaya declared.
He noted that the rising number of Toto indigenes in government positions stands as clear evidence of the dividends from unwavering APC support.
“We Need Numbers, echoing the Health Commissioner, Maikaya emphasised scaling up participation in Toto, declaring: “We need numbers.”He recalled that Toto typically delivers 33,000 to 37,000 votes in elections but urged a dramatic increase.”For obvious reasons, APC must deliver more than 80,000 votes from Toto. This is our strength and our strength is indeed our numbers,” he insisted.
Maikaya highlighted the E-Registration’s benefits, including a stronger digital database, official member recognition, enhanced internal democracy, positioning for party opportunities, and boosted electoral planning.
He described the ongoing APC registration not as mere formality, but as a bold statement of commitment and future readiness.
Appreciating the large turnout at the event, Maikaya hailed it as proof of APC’s physical strength in Toto. “This turnout shows our strength physically. Let us now prove it structurally and numerically by registering. Let our presence reflect in the system. Let our loyalty be counted,” he charged.
Maikaya called on all party faithful, supporters, youths, and women to seize the E-Registration opportunity, adding that the future favours those who are counted.
“APC is Toto, and Toto is APC, together, stronger by the numbers.”
