Nasarawa’s Female Lawmaker, Dr Danyaro, Frees Two Inmates on 54th Birthday

The only female lawmaker in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Hajarat Danyaro Ibrahim (Nasarawa Central), has secured the release of two inmates from the Nasarawa Correctional Centre as part of her 54th birthday celebration.

The beneficiaries are Mustapha Abubakar from Ungwar Bai, Nasarawa Town, and Mrs. Peace Musa from Tammah.

Dr. Hajarat Danyaro, Nasarawa’s only female legislator, redefines politics with support for constituents, Presents 10 motorcycles, 200 bags of rice, 100 wrappers, solar street lights, scholarships for 100 students, and other items

Dr. Danyaro, who chairs the House Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, announced the gesture at her residence in GRA, Nasarawa Local Government Area.

Flanked by correctional centre officials and the inmates’ families, the lawmaker said she had paid their fines to grant them freedom.

 

“As you can see, the officials of the Nasarawa Correctional Centre are here with the inmates. I have paid their fines and secured their releases. They are now going to enjoy the air of freedom and reunite with their families and society in general,” she stated.

Tasking the freed inmates to turn a new leaf, Dr. Danyaro urged: “I call on you to be good ambassadors of your families, Nasarawa Central, Nasarawa State, and society at large. Please don’t go back to what took you to this prison. “The lawmaker thanked God for her life, protection, and guidance, while praying for continued health and prosperity.

She also appreciated well-wishers, invoking abundant blessings on them.

In a touching moment, Dr. Danyaro’s mother, Mrs. Maryam Danyaro, fed her daughter birthday cake and prayed for her continued excellence in public service.
