The Youth Consultative Committee spearheading Professor Abdulkarim Abubakar Kana, SAN’s senatorial ambition under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa West Senatorial District, yesterday being Wednesday stormed Nasarawa and Keffi Local Government Areas , where it held fruitful meetings with top officials and inaugurated 20-member committees in each council.

Led by Comrade Jaafar Muhammad Loko, the delegation’s tour marked a pivotal phase in the mobilization drive ahead of the 2027 general elections, underscoring the pivotal role of youth in grassroots politics.

Activities kicked off in Nasarawa LGA with a high-powered courtesy call on the Local Government Council Secretariat.

The team was received by the Council Secretary, Hon. Dr. Aisha Isa Idoma, who stood in for the Executive Chairman.

Talks focused on amplifying youth involvement in democracy and the transformative developmental agenda of Prof. Kana.
Hon. Idoma commended the committee’s peaceful and structured mobilization efforts, urging sustained youth engagement at the local level to foster progress.

The highlight was the inauguration of a 20-member Youth Consultative Committee for Nasarawa LGA Chapter, comprising representatives from the 15 electoral wards.

The new executives were mandated to rally youths, enlighten communities on Prof. Kana’s vision, and champion inclusive representation across the area.

The entourage proceeded to Keffi LGA, receiving a rousing welcome from Executive Chairman Hon. Dr. Idris Ahmadu Damagani.

The council boss praised the visit, highlighting the urgent need for youth dynamism in reshaping Nasarawa West’s political fortunes.

He charged the committee to prioritize peace, unity, and issue-based campaigns in their advocacy.

Thereafter, a 20-member Youth Consultative Committee for Keffi LGA Chapter was unveiled, with a clear directive to harmonize Kana support groups, propagate his senatorial bid, and embed his developmental blueprint among all stakeholders.

These back-to-back engagements signal a robust mobilization blueprint for the Nasarawa West Youth Consultative Committee (NWYCC).
