…..Says Toto District Rules Constituency Seat 5 Times Running, Gadabuke district 1 time

The Rike Awa Association of Angwan Agwai, Karimo, in Gadabuke district, Toto Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, has thrown its weight behind Hon. Aliyu Abdullahi Tashas, the immediate past Executive Chairman of Toto LGA, for the Gadabuke/Toto State House of Assembly seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Women Leader of the association, Madam Gambo Idiyo, made a passionate appeal during a stakeholders’ meeting, urging the APC leadership to zone the Gadabuke/Toto constituency ticket to Gadabuke District for equity and fairness.
Madam Idiyo noted that since the creation of Nasarawa State, Toto District has dominated the State House of Assembly representation from the constituency on five occasions, listing them as: Hon. Adams Nyisana (two tenures), Hon. Saidu Galadima, Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa, and Hon. Garba Isimbabi.
While butress your point, she pointed out that Gadabuke District has produced only one representative, Hon. Madaki Adah Goje, underscoring the urgent need for balance to foster inclusivity within the constituency.

The women leader appealed to stakeholders in the Gadabuke/Toto constituency to support Hon. Tashas, describing him as a “tested and trusted” leader whose track record as Toto LGA chairman position him ideally for the legislative role.
With Toto/Gadabuke axis currently hosting several aspirants across parties, including PDP for Reps and Assembly, SDP for Assembly, and ADC for Assembly, Madam Idiyo insisted that Hon. Tashas remains the only APC candidate capable of crushing the opposition and securing victory.
She argued that the Local Government Chairmanship position is already held by someone from Toto District, with no APC aspirants from Gadabuke contesting for Reps, Senate, or Governorship, the State House of Assembly ticket is the sole opportunity for APC representation from the district.

Madam Idiyo concluded by noting that Dr. Gaza Gwamna, the Commissioner for Health and only appointee from Gadabuke, has been performing creditably, but without an APC representative to join him in delivering the district, would prove challenging for the party. She said.
