Nasarawa Political Support Network Swears in New Leaders, Appoints Amb. Isah Kogi as North Central Peace Envoy

A political support body backing the second-term ambition of Bola Ahmed Tinubu has inaugurated new state executives in Nasarawa, as part of renewed grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The ceremony, held at Time Square Hotel in Masaka, Karu Local Government Area, brought together members and stakeholders of the Renewed Hope Independent Support Groups Committee (RIC), who described the exercise as a strategic move to strengthen grassroots structures across the state and the North Central region.

Alhaji Isah Kogi, the Sarkin Baka of Masaka, was formally recognized in his role as North Central Peace Ambassador.

In his remarks, Ambassador Isah Kogi expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him and other inaugurated leaders. He described their appointments as a call to greater responsibility and urged members to remain united, peaceful, and committed to mobilizing support across communities to achieve the objectives of the movement ahead of 2027.

In addition to the inauguration of state leaders, the Renewed Hope Independent Support Groups Committee (RIC), a support platform aligned with and sponsored in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, presented an award and appointment letter to Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Akawu Zakwoyi as the National Adviser on Religious Affairs.

The committee stated that the recognition was in honour of his unwavering commitment to faith-based leadership, moral guidance, national unity, and his outstanding contributions to interfaith harmony and spiritual development across the nation.

During a brief interview after receiving the appointment letter, Rev. Dr. Zakwoyi expressed deep appreciation to the committee and to the leadership of the Renewed Hope movement for the honour bestowed on him. He pledged to discharge his duties effectively and diligently, assuring that he would serve in all areas expected of him while promoting unity, spiritual growth, and peaceful coexistence across the country.

Earlier, the Founder and National Coordinator of RIC, Hajiya Asmau Suleyman Adeyemi, represented by Ambassador Tina Ajikwe, charged the inaugurated leaders to justify the confidence placed in them, emphasizing dedication, teamwork, and sustained grassroots engagement.

The event also featured the swearing-in of about 12 state officials, presentation of recognition awards to selected contributors, and entertainment by local performers, adding colour to the gathering attended by party officials, youth leaders, and other dignitaries.
