National Assembly Trains Nasarawa Assembly Management on Legislative Administration

As a five-day retreat gets underway in Abuja, the Clerk of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly hails the Speaker for the opportunity and assures of disseminating the knowledge gained.

The National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), National Assembly, Abuja, is currently training the management team of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly on legislative administration.

The five-day capacity-building retreat, which began on June 8th and will conclude on June 12th, is being held in Abuja and brings together the Clerk, Deputy Clerks, and Directors of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
Tagged “NILDS 5-Day Capacity Building Training on Legislative Administration for Clerk, Deputy Clerks, and Directors of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly,” the program aims to equip participants with advanced knowledge in legislative administration to promote good governance in the state.

The workshop is taking place at the NILDS permanent headquarters on Airport Road, Abuja, with all Deputy Clerks and Directors of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly in attendance.

The lead consultant, Dr. Muhammed O. Amali, alongside other facilitators, welcomed participants to the summit, outlining the objectives and expected outcomes of the workshop.

They delivered extensive presentations on legislative administration and related areas, urging participants to apply and disseminate the knowledge upon returning to their respective offices to enhance legislative practices.

The Clerk of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr. Ibraheem Abdulaziz Musa, through Deputy Clerk Mr. Paul Okugya, expressed gratitude to NILDS leadership for providing the training.

He pledged to step down the knowledge gained during the retreat to colleagues in the House.

Describing the training as a valuable experience, Mr. Musa also thanked the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau, for the opportunity. He assured that the skills acquired would enhance performance and support the work of the House and the development of the state.
