2027: Forum Endorses Nasarawa Speaker, Dr. Danladi Jatau, for House of Representatives
…Calls for Support for Gov. Sule, Advocates Unity and Inclusive Governance
The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Danladi Jatau, has been endorsed for the House of Representatives seat for the Karu/Keffi/Kokona Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections by the Kokona Young Intellectual Forum.
The endorsement was made during a courtesy visit to the Speaker in his office in Lafia on Monday.
During the meeting, Jatau called on youths and other residents of Nasarawa State to continue to support the administration of Governor Abdullahi Sule to ensure continuity of developmental projects and good governance in the state.
He urged citizens to remain united regardless of political or social affiliations, stressing that unity and hard work remain key to the development of Nasarawa State.
“Let us all support His Excellency, Engr. Abdullahi Sule to succeed. He has done well and has passion for development,” Jatau said.
The Speaker also commended Governor Sule for what he described as an inclusive leadership style and sustained developmental strides across the state.
Expressing appreciation for the endorsement, Jatau thanked the forum for the confidence reposed in him, describing the gesture as a motivation to do more.
“With this endorsement from you and by God’s grace, I will win my election,” he said.
He assured constituents of continued quality representation and pledged to attract more developmental projects to his constituency if elected to the National Assembly.
According to him, “I am proud of you, and together we will take Kokona to the next level of development.”
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Mr. Silas Gyar, said the visit was to commend the Speaker for his performance both in his constituency and at the state level.
He also noted that the group passed a vote of confidence on the Speaker, citing his leadership style and commitment to the welfare of his people.
Gyar further announced the group’s endorsement of Jatau for the House of Representatives seat in 2027 and appealed for greater inclusion of postgraduate students in his scholarship scheme, as well as support for mobility initiatives.
The forum also decorated the Speaker as its Patron and pledged continued support and prayers for his political aspirations.
