The member representing Kokona East Constituency in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Daniel Ogah Ogazi, has distributed 20 brand-new motorcycles to constituents as part of his empowerment initiative aimed at enhancing transportation and stimulating economic activities.

The distribution exercise, held on Saturday in Garaku, Kokona Local Government Area, drew beneficiaries from Kokona, Keffi and Karu local government areas, underscoring the lawmaker’s growing reach beyond his immediate constituency.

Hon. Ogazi, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Rules and Business, said the beneficiaries were selected without prior notice to ensure fairness and eliminate bias.

According to him, the intervention is a continuation of his efforts to improve the living standards of his constituents through targeted, need-based programmes.

“This latest exercise follows a similar intervention in February, where over 25 motorcycles, sewing machines, cash grants and a Peugeot 206 car were distributed to support vulnerable groups,” he said.

He added that since January 2026, his initiatives have included the distribution of more than 50 motorcycles, the drilling of 13 boreholes across communities, and empowerment programmes for youths, women, widows and the elderly, irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliations.

Reaffirming his commitment to effective representation, the lawmaker pledged to remain responsive to the needs of his constituents.

“I am a man of my word. The trust reposed in me is sacred, and I will continue to prioritise the welfare of my people. Public service is about impact, not a do-or-die affair,” he stated.

Ogazi also emphasised that the resources used for the empowerment programmes belong to the people and should be returned to them through meaningful interventions.

Beneficiaries and stakeholders at the event commended the lawmaker for his consistent support and people-oriented programmes, expressing confidence in his leadership capacity.

Several speakers also declared support for his reported ambition to represent Keffi, Karu and Kokona Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in 2027.

Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the three local government areas, alongside party stakeholders and community leaders, described Ogazi as a credible and capable leader, pledging to support his future political aspirations.
