Eid-el-Kabir: Nasarawa Speaker Felicitates Muslims, Calls for Sober Reflection, Fervent Prayers

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has felicitated with Muslims across the state and the country on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging them to use the period for sober reflection and fervent prayers for the unity, peace and progress of the nation.
In a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, the Speaker called on Muslims and other Nigerians to pray for sustained peace, national unity and the continued development of the country.

The Speaker also appealed to citizens to offer prayers for leaders at all levels, the success of government policies and peaceful conduct of the 2027 general elections.
According to the statement, Rt. Hon. Jatau urged the people of the state to use the Eid-el-Kabir celebration to strengthen their relationship with God and promote peaceful coexistence among one another.

He stressed the importance of the festival, which symbolizes sacrifice, love, obedience and selflessness, noting that the season should inspire Nigerians to embrace understanding, tolerance and patriotism for the overall growth and prosperity of the nation.

The Speaker further urged wealthy individuals and privileged members of society to extend support to the less privileged in order to give them a sense of belonging during the festive season.

While congratulating Muslims on the successful completion of the spiritual exercise and the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, Jatau called for peaceful and hitch-free festivities, urging citizens to remain law-abiding and supportive of constituted authorities.
