Eid-el-Kabir: Senator Karimi Felicitates Muslims, Calls for Unity and Sacrifice
The Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Sunday Steve Karimi, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging Nigerians to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, love, peace and national unity.
In a statement issued to commemorate the Islamic festival, Senator Karimi described Eid-el-Kabir as a sacred period that reminds humanity of the importance of obedience to God, compassion for one another and commitment to peaceful coexistence.
The lawmaker noted that the celebration symbolizes faith, selflessness and total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, adding that Nigerians should use the opportunity to pray fervently for the peace, unity and progress of the country.
“As we celebrate this blessed season of Eid-el-Kabir, may the spirit of sacrifice, love and unity continue to strengthen our homes, communities and nation,” he stated.
Senator Karimi also called on citizens, irrespective of religious and ethnic affiliations, to embrace tolerance and support one another, especially at a time the country is facing economic and security challenges.
According to him, the lessons of Eid-el-Kabir should inspire leaders and citizens alike to make sacrifices that would promote national development and improve the welfare of the people.
The senator further urged Muslim faithful to remember the less privileged during the celebration by extending acts of kindness and charity to the needy in line with the teachings of Islam.
He reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation and continued delivery of democratic dividends to the people of Kogi West Senatorial District.
