Ododo a Detribalised Leader Passionate About Grassroots Development — Ekuzi Progressive Association

The Ekuzi Progressive Association in Kogi Local Government Area of Kogi State has described Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo as a detribalised leader with a strong commitment to grassroots development.
The President of the Association, Comrade Idris Muhammed, made the commendation during an interactive session with journalists in Lokoja.
Comrade Idris stated that the Ekuzi community, which comprises two political wards—Akpasu and Irenodu—with over 22 polling units, remains fully committed to supporting Governor Ododo ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He noted that the association deeply appreciates the governor’s goodwill, particularly his support for the roofing of the Ekuzi Unity House project in Agbudu.
According to him, the association will continue to recognize and commend the governor’s development-driven initiatives, especially those positively impacting rural communities.
Comrade Idris also pledged the unwavering loyalty of the youths and members of the association to the Ododo-led administration, stressing that the group is equally committed to supporting the second-term bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The association’s president further expressed gratitude to the Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engineer Abubakar Bashir Gegu, who also holds the traditional title of Madaki of Ekuzi (Kaura), for his exemplary leadership.

He described Engineer Gegu as a worthy role model whose contributions have continued to inspire the people of the area.
In the same vein, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Grassroots Mobilization in the area, Honourable Prince Yunusa Dangote, urged residents to remain vigilant and avoid being misled by opposition elements.
He called on party faithful and youths to intensify efforts in mobilizing support for all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC), with the goal of securing overwhelming victories across all polling units in the Ekuzi community.
