Kwanta Yakubu Named Chairman of Wadada for Governor Solidarity Group

Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu, has been unveiled as the Chairman of the Wadada Project Solidarity Group, the grassroots mobilization platform supporting the governorship aspiration of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The unveiling ceremony was held on Tuesday at Ri-Seingon Luxury Hotel, Akwanga, attracting party leaders, stakeholders, youth groups and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across Nasarawa State.
Speaking after receiving his appointment, Hon. Kwanta Yakubu described the assignment as a significant responsibility and pledged to leverage his experience in youth development and grassroots mobilization to strengthen support for Senator Wadada across the state’s 13 Local Government Areas.
He said the mission of the Solidarity Group is to consolidate the developmental achievements of Governor Abdullahi Sule while mobilizing widespread support to ensure Senator Wadada’s victory in the 2027 governorship election.
According to him, the movement will focus on engaging communities, empowering young people and promoting the vision of the APC across the state.
Presenting the appointment letter, Co-Vice Chairman of the group, Alhaji Ibrahim Sabo, Sadaukin Keana, described Kwanta Yakubu’s appointment as timely and strategic.
He noted that the Commissioner enjoys considerable influence among youths, athletes and community stakeholders, making him well-positioned to lead the campaign’s grassroots engagement efforts.
Sabo said the appointment demonstrates the APC’s commitment to building a united and formidable structure ahead of what is expected to be a keenly contested governorship race in 2027.
As Chairman of the Wadada Project Solidarity Group, Kwanta Yakubu will oversee key campaign activities, including: Door-to-door sensitization campaigns
Promotion of the APC manifesto focusing on inclusive governance, job creation and infrastructure development
The group is expected to serve as one of the major grassroots platforms promoting Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada’s governorship ambition ahead of the 2027 elections.
The organization also announced that former Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Othman Bala Adam, popularly known as Usman Boss, will serve as the group’s other Co-Vice Chairman.
The leadership expressed confidence that the combined experience of the newly appointed officials would strengthen grassroots mobilization and enhance support for the APC governorship
