The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ethiope Federal Constituency has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to delivering overwhelming electoral support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, and other candidates of the party in the 2027 general elections.

The renewed pledge came as party stakeholders intensified efforts to strengthen unity and grassroots mobilisation across Delta Central Senatorial District.

The declaration was made during the Ethiope Federal Constituency Executive Committee and Leaders’ Meeting held on Friday at the country home of former Delta State Commissioner for Finance and APC stalwart, Chief Love Ojakovo, in Okpara Inland, Ethiope East Local Government Area.

The gathering attracted influential political leaders, party executives and stakeholders from Ethiope East and Ethiope West Local Government Areas.

The meeting focused on building a stronger and more united APC ahead of the 2027 elections by reinforcing the party’s structures from the polling unit level to the federal constituency.

Participants agreed that unity, discipline and strategic mobilisation remain essential for achieving victory in future elections.

Leaders at the meeting unanimously pledged to work tirelessly for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator Ede Dafinone, Hon. Erhiatake Ibori-Suenu, Rt. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo and all APC candidates contesting elective positions in the 2027 polls.

The gathering also highlighted the growing political understanding between former Delta State Governor, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

Party leaders described the renewed cooperation between the two political figures as a significant development capable of promoting peace, stability and stronger political collaboration across Delta Central and the state as a whole.

According to stakeholders, the improved relationship between the two leaders has strengthened confidence within the APC family and created a more favourable environment for party members to work collectively toward achieving common political objectives.

Addressing participants, National Chairman of the Ethiope Federal Constituency Forum and Chief Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Senator (Chief) Ighoyota Amori, PhD, stressed that unity remains the greatest asset of any successful political party.

He urged members to remain committed to the party’s vision and continue expanding its grassroots presence.

Amori called on party faithful to intensify mobilisation across polling units, wards and local government areas to ensure overwhelming support for APC candidates in the forthcoming elections. He noted that teamwork, loyalty and mutual respect would guarantee sustained political success and effective representation for the people.

He further explained that a united APC would be better positioned to attract more democratic dividends, quality representation and development projects to Ethiope Federal Constituency and Delta State.

Former member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Halims Agoda, alongside Hon. Loveth Idisi, Chief Bernard Edewor and Chief Solomon Golley, also addressed the gathering. They encouraged members to remain united and committed to strengthening the party’s grassroots structures ahead of the elections.

The leaders maintained that political victories are achieved through effective organisation at the grassroots, urging ward executives, polling unit leaders and local government officials to work in harmony to ensure maximum voter mobilisation.

Speaking on the issue of fairness and inclusiveness, Hon. Loveth Idisi emphasised that equity and balance in the distribution of political appointments and elective opportunities remain crucial for sustaining peace and unity within the federal constituency.

According to Idisi, both Ethiope East and Ethiope West Local Government Areas deserve fair consideration in political appointments and leadership positions.

She argued that equitable representation would strengthen confidence among party members and encourage broader participation in APC activities.

Host of the meeting, Chief Love Ojakovo, commended party leaders for embracing dialogue and cooperation.

He urged stakeholders to place the collective interest of Ethiope Federal Constituency above personal ambitions, noting that unity remains the foundation of sustainable political growth.

“The strength of Ethiope Federal Constituency lies in our unity. When we work together as one, we can achieve greater success for our people and support the vision of our leaders,” Ojakovo stated while encouraging members to sustain the prevailing atmosphere of cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, participants unanimously adopted several resolutions, including a commitment to preserve unity within the constituency, promote equity and fairness in political engagements, and intensify grassroots mobilisation to deliver block votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The leaders also resolved that party structures across polling units, wards and local government areas should work in close collaboration to ensure a strong electoral outing for the APC throughout Ethiope Federal Constituency and Delta State.

Speaking with journalists after the meeting, National Publicity Secretary of the Ethiope Federal Constituency Forum, Olorogun (Barr.) Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, expressed optimism that the constituency is well-positioned for a historic political performance in 2027.

He said renewed unity, stronger party structures and improved cooperation among stakeholders have laid the foundation for electoral success.

Oghenesivbe commended Senator Ighoyota Amori for his visionary leadership and dedication to strengthening cohesion within the constituency. He also described the growing synergy between Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and former Governor James Ibori as a major factor driving political stability and strengthening the APC across Delta State.

The meeting concluded with a request for Senator Amori, as National Leader of the Ethiope Federal Constituency Forum, to host the next Executive Committee and Leaders’ Meeting, as stakeholders expressed confidence that Ethiope Federal Constituency will remain a strategic force in advancing the APC’s objectives and securing victory in the 2027 general elections.
